Sundays in Patton Park 2012 Summer Concert Series
The tenth annual Sundays in Patton Park, a free outdoor musical concert series, is held every Sunday in the bandstand at Patton Park, located on Route 1A in Hamilton, from 5-7 p.m.
In the event of rain, arrangements are made for an inside venue nearby; the information will be posted at the park by 3 p.m. on the day of the concert. Rain information and directions may also be accessed in a temporary message recorded at 978-468-4818.
The performance schedule is as follows:
June 24 - The Classmates - Timeless Classic Hits
July 1 - Dick Kaplan's Excellent Jazz Band
July 8 - The Buskers
July 15 - The Bandit Kings
July 22 - Squeezebox Stompers
July 29 - Gloucester Hornpipe and Clog Society
August 5 - Overdrive
Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and a picnic, and be sure to visit the expanded snack bar, sponsored by the Hamilton-Wenham Little League. A fantastic new addition last year - the DUGOUT Snack Bar on the edge of the park, will be open during the Sunday concerts. They offer steamed hot dogs, chips, cookies, candy, and a variety of healthy snacks, along with ice cold soda and ice cream from Cherry Farm Creamery - perfect for hot summer days.
Experience has shown that they only come out at dusk—after 7 o’clock! As Patton Park is quite open near the bandstand, do consider the heat and late afternoon sun. Bring sun block, hats, and other provisions for shade if appropriate.
These concerts are coordinated by a volunteer committee, which seeks monetary support and sponsorships for performances and advertising. Funds are managed under the auspices of The Community House of Hamilton and Wenham, Inc.
