SCOOP Lacrosse Spring 2013

Scoop LaCrosse Programs are geared towards girls entering 1st or 2nd grade

All 1st and 2nd grade girls on the North Shore are invited!

SCOOP Lacrosse is a developmental lacrosse program for young girls that teaches the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun, positive environment.

Youth Umpire Training

Learn the basics of little league umpiring for baseball and softball in Beverly

Instructor Bruce Doig of the Beverly Recreation Department will teach the basics necessary to umpire Little League and Girls Softball games. Earn money doing something you enjoy. Open to any boy or girl who will be 13 years old by April 1, 2013. Training includes rules of the game, on-field situations and umpiring mechanics for youth games. All participants receive rulebooks.

It’s Base Ball, 1861 style at Spencer Peirce Little Farm! Teams playing today are The Newburyport Clamdiggers, Lynn Live Oaks, and Lowell Base Ball Club. These fun, historically accurate games feature underhand pitching and no gloves are allowed. A ball bounced once and caught is an out! Snacks, baseballs, and cards are available for purchase. Come and see for yourself how this game was played in the 1860's!
