Hamilton-Wenham Public Library invites kids aged 11 older to a course designed by the American Red Cross to prepare youth with the training every parent wants in a babysitter: safety, basic child care, safe play, first aid and critical emergency skills, and professional leadership and care-giving skills.

Gloucester Uechi Karate Academy invites you to join them for this safe, interactive seminar designed to introduce you to issues related to personal safety. Their Assault Prevention Seminar promises to be an informative and engaging session where you will learn about what perpetrators of assault are looking for when they choose a victim and what you can do to reduce your chances of becoming a victim through self-awareness.

Join watercolorist Brenda Sloane in a monthly program that combines nature and art. We will start with a walk on the sanctuary to observe the topic of the month. We will then return to the Nature Center to create a follow-up work of art.

Meet, greet and play with the instructors at Kiwi Kids Studio. Join us in welcoming our new music, child development and art teachers, and get to know other local toddlers and parents. Free play and other goodies add to the fun!

SCOOP Lacrosse is a developmental lacrosse program for young girls that teaches the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun, positive environment.

See, learn, find, create! Young artists are invited to enjoy drawing, painting, print making, and sculpture using the Museum's shipyard and artifacts for inspiration. All materials are provided for projects. All ages are welcome. Those seven and younger must be accompanied by an adult. A public exhibit of the art work produced will take place at the museum. United States Coast Guard Station Gloucester will hold its annual Safe Boating Day Event on Saturday May 18th, to kick off National Safe Boating Week, which is May 18-25. The event is to promote boating safety and awareness.

Celebrate spring by building a bluebird house with your child. We’ll supply all the materials and instruction to build a nest box for bluebirds and tree swallows. These wonderful nest boxes also attract chickadees, tufted titmice, house wrens, and woodpeckers. A short slide presentation will introduce families to the natural history and behavior of birds in Massachusetts, and we’ll discuss where and how to place your nest box. Dress for the weather because we will take a short walk to look and listen for bluebirds.

The Keane O’Brien Academy of Irish Dance in Reading will be offering FREE trial classes in honor of Saint Patrick's Day! Come try a class on March 12th or 19th and experience a piece of Irish culture. We offer classes for children of all ages, starting as young as age 3!
